In the end, Stone saves the United States from the plot of rogue government agents. Gibbons is the head of the xXx project and is the one who hires first Xander Cage, followed by Darius Stone.

As two agents suggest new hires at the end of the second xXx movie, Gibbons puts them in their place by saying he is the one who chooses the new agents. Gibbons is well-liked by both his colleagues and the two spies. Agent Gibbons has a sense of honor, but he is not above breaking the law, especially when it will further the completion of his missions.

This can be seen when he kidnaps Cage to recruit him into the program. An employee of the NSA, Gibbons realizes that people like Cage and Stone bring a new element to the spy game: the ability to sneak in undetected, as traditional spies are becoming too easy to spot. The original xXx movie was a hot, action-packed thriller that excited audiences worldwide. Following the national tragedy of September 11th, the United States needed a good kick-butt spy movie to lean on.

Vin Diesel does an excellent job as Xander Cage, showing that he can do a convincing job as a thrill-seeker being forced to help his government and look good as well while doing it! Although Diesel is involved in other action franchises, such as The Fast and the Furious , he was able to clearly show differences between his characters.

For instance, Xander Cage has more of a fun-loving attitude than the protagonist of The Fast and the Furious because of differences in their backstory. Cage also has a swaggering attitude full of confidence , while his other character, Dom, is more low-key. While some watchers came for the action, stunts , and adrenaline, others can enjoy the romance between Cage and Yelena, the girlfriend of the main bad guy, Yorgi.

While xXx disappoints some, it is a very exciting ride through the gorgeous city of Prague , watching Xander Cage dispatch with the members of Anarchy99 in a thrilling manner. Overall, xXx is a great action movie that can be rented for cheap or found free on some platforms. Not as good as the first xXx movie which released in , XXX:State of the Union does have some action scenes which can blow your mind, also the political thrill is entertaining, If you like action then this movie is good for you but other things are just ok and its not better than the first movie but some people liked this movie more than the first xXx movie.
